Constructing Excellence merge with Building Research Establishment (BRE)
The BRE brand is highly respected in a number of sectors and has worked closely with the NHS, the former NHS Estates and the Department of Health for many years to improve overall performance in the Estates and Facilities Management function.
For us, one of the most exciting opportunities this presents is the strengthening of Grovenbridge’s training function. Grovenbridge Academy (GA) is an approved centre of CELL, which is an awarding body for Ofqual. This means that GA courses must meet the stringent quality standards set by both CELL and Ofqual for us to retain our CELL Approved Centre status and Ofqual accreditation for the course. Delegates can therefore be assured both of the quality of our courses but also that they can get a meaningful, recognised and transferrable qualification.
CELL’s awarding body function will now be placed within BRE Global, which operates a range of accreditation and certification schemes with all the appropriate management and quality assurance systems in place.
Whilst this will have little effect on how GA works on a day-to-day basis, it means that we will now be able to access and utilise a huge amount of training material from within the existing BRE Academy to expand our own portfolio and that of other CELL centres.
GA welcomes this change and looks forward to being able to offer our healthcare colleagues richer and more varied training and upskilling programmes.
